The pedestrian and cycle path between Young Street and Gorge Road has been widened and the transition from street to path is now enabled by the new concrete ramp at the Young Street End.

At the other end of Young Street there is a similar pedestrian and bicycle path connection to Clairville Road and on to the Newton Central Shopping Mall.
